About Us
^ Floating to the Bottom v is a band made up of three high school girls which exists to defeat the stereotype that the music industry is an "all-male" deal. Proving girls can be just as good, if not better, than men. Majority of our time is spent having fun and expressing ourselves through our music. We were formed on November 24th, 2004 and have been a band for almost ten months.
Currently, we have eleven songs that we are satisfied with and many more on the way. The shortest time we've ever written a song was in two hours. The song is called Trying. The first song we ever wrote together as a band was semi-complete on the first band meet. That song was later finished on our second band meet and is now known as Revolution.
In the past month, Floating to the Bottom has changed it name from "Caution". We aimed for something more originial and we got it. The band has not always consisted of three people. There were two other members. Paige, our vocalist and Jenny, one of the guitarists.
During summer '05, Floating to the Bottom has appeared live for three shows and we plan to continue doing many more! If you would like to have us play a show for you, contact Shannon here and she'll see what she can do.
In total, we have seven guitars to which we can play shows/practice with. Two are electric, one acoustic-electric and four are acoustic. We have two basses and one set of drums. To prove our insanity, we have names for all of them. The drums each are named after the Seven Dwarfs as we have 7 drum pieces to the set. The yellow bass is named PaulEro, after Paul, the Bassist in Good Charlotte and Ero, the bassist in The Rasmus. The black bass is Mark. The Guitar's names are as follows: Electric: Eppi, Maderia Acoustic Electric: Neza Acoustic: La Catrina, Ruben and Ricardo.
