Mayura tends to accomplish everything she does and undertakes with ease. She is an all-around good student who recieves excellent grades. Mayura is very pretty and this makes her popular with the boys. She hates to be left alone and she is aggressive in romance and friendship. Mayura always says what she thinks, she is a very outspoken and because she is friendly and reliable, people seldom hold a grudge against her. Mayura works hard to become dependable and reliable because she hates to lose and her parents depend on her so much more then Alice. Even though she gets fustrated with Alice often, she sometimes envies her little sister.

In the manga series, Alice 19th, Mayura plays a key-role as the antagonist. Many Alice 19th fans express dire hate for Mayura because of the things she does during the course of the manga series. She feels misunderstood so she blames Alice for leaving her alone and for stealing Kyou away from her when really, Alice tried to get them together in the first place even though she did love Kyou. Because Alice wished that Mayura would just 'go away', Mayura was sent away to Darva. Darva is the source of all evil in the world however he needed a body to inhabit inorder to be released and corrupt the entire world. He twisted Mayura's thinking by telling her Alice never loved her and the only way to get Kyou bck is to get rid of Alice. Darva didn't care about her petty problems but that was what fueled Mayura's hate. Mayura did some terrible and ruthless things during the series and this makes her one of the most hated characters within the entire series.
