Magic Knight Rayearth (MKR) is about three fourteen year-old school girls by the names of Hikaru, Umi and Fuu. They are all in eighth grade and they go to seperate schools. One day while on a field trip to Tokyo Tower, they are warped into a different world by the will of Princess Emeraude of Cephiro. However, the princess has been captured by an evil man, by the name of Zagato, whose power rivals her own and it is up to Hikaru, Umi and Fuu to rescue the princess and find a way home. They are the legendary Magic Knights.
